The Featured Artist Membership Application rules and eligibility are different from the below juried competition rules. Please find the membership application rules HERE.

Juried Competition Rules

Below are the rules for entering any Fusion Art juried competitions. Please read them carefully as you will be required to agree to them, in addition to Fusion Art's Terms of Service & Use and Privacy Policy, prior to submitting. Some competitions guidelines will vary from the below so please read each competition's details carefully before submitting. If you have any questions about the competition or the application process, please feel free to contact us at info@fusionartps.com

Eligibility

  • All Fusion Art competitions are open to artists worldwide over the age of 18.
  • Entries must follow the competition theme.
  • Work must be the original creation of the artist and completed within the past 5 years.
  • Digital Art that is a derivative work, created from another original  artwork, must be significantly different as to constitute a new original  work. The gallery reserves the right to request a copy of the original  artwork if copyright infringement is suspected.   Entry fees are not refundable.
  • Although nude art is acceptable in Fusion Art art competitions, it must be in good taste. Graphic erotic art and art that depicts graphic sexual violence is not acceptable.  Acceptance into Fusion Art exhibitions is not guaranteed and is solely at the discretion of the gallery. Entry fees are not refundable.
  • Fusion Art does not accept AI-generated artwork in any of its competitions. If an image was created by an AI tool, such as a text-to-image generator, it is not eligible. Editing software is a different matter. Almost every image editing program available today has some AI built into it, so we can’t rule out the software itself. You are welcome to use programs like Photoshop, Photoshop Elements, Lightroom, Capture One Pro, PaintShop, CorelDRAW, Affinity Photo, Photopea, GIMP, Photocraft, Pixlr, and similar tools, even though they include AI features. What matters is how the work was made. Artwork that you created and then edited in one of these programs is fine. Artwork that was created by AI is not.
  • We do our best to keep AI-generated art out of our exhibitions, but with the sheer number of entries we receive each month, it isn’t possible to screen every one with an AI image detector. If something looks suspicious, we do check it. Still, these detectors aren’t reliable. Even an image that has only had simple color correction in a program like Photoshop can get flagged as AI by mistake. We’ve also had work we know was 100% human-made come back flagged, so we don’t consider their results conclusive. That’s why this process rests on mutual trust. We count on our artists to be honest about how their artwork was created and to follow the competition rules.
  • There are no size limitations or any of Fusion Art's competitions.
  • Artwork does not have to be for sale to be entered into the competition.
  • All 3D entries require front, back and side views for it to be considered and properly juried. There is no additional fee for these additional images. Please see entry form for instructions.
  • You may submit the same artwork in different competitions, as long as it follows the competition theme, unless it has won previously.
  • You may enter works of art that have won art competition awards in other shows.

Images

  • Image should be in JPG format, 72 dpi, highest compression quality of 12.
  • Image should not exceed 5MB.
  • Image should not contain any frame, mat, or watermark.
  • IMAGE LABELING GUIDELINES: Image should be labeled as FirstName_Lastname_Title.jpeg (Example: John_Smith_Untitled.jpg). Do not include special characters such as #,!, * or stray spaces in the file name.  Doing so may prevent the file from uploading.
  • Image should be clear and in focus. Please remember that this image represents your work.
  • Fusion Art may crop or color correct your images in order to enhance the overall presentation and/or for formatting purposes for use on the website, Fusion Art presentations and marketing materials, and for other areas where your images may appear.

Selection and Awards

  • Best in Show will be awarded to one artist in each category - Traditional, Digital & Photography and 3-Dimensional (if the gallery receives 3D entries). 2nd through 5th Place awards in each category will also be given.

Fusion Art is granted usage of the chosen artwork, for display, marketing and promotional purposes for that art exhibition and for any future Fusion Art themed art competitions and exhibitions - either online or in the annual group show.
  • The artist agrees that Fusion Art can maintain an archive of the chosen artwork for posterity as part of  a historical site record of past exhibitions.
